[ Oh. Suzaku thinks about that for a moment, frowning more, and then... his expression eases. ]
As long as you're sure you don't -- mind too much. [ Tiny smile. ] I don't -- need to be someone you want to kiss, much less the person you most want to kiss here. [ Shaking his head a bit, because that's a silly thing to have even implied. Silly boy. ]
I just... [ gestures at the mistletoe, ] I don't like the idea that you're being made to want something you don't really.
It's Court. [ Spoken in a tone that just sort of says you take what comes sometimes and keep on going. But he takes a step closer, and does give Suzaku a big grin. ]
If you don't mind? [ Because the little green plant is really, really pushy. And right now Lavi really, really does want to kiss Suzaku, even if he wouldn't normally -- Suzaku is really easy on the eyes, but Lavi doesn't tend to venture out from a small number of romantic partners. But right now, he totally doesn't care. Caring is for later. ]
[ Hypocritically, there's a beat of almost-confusion (why would he?), but Suzaku shakes his head. Offers a small smile up. ] I'm... not usually opposed to fulfilling their challenges. [ --And, taking a step forward, to help close the space between them; vaguely he thinks it'll be reassuring. ] Go ahead.
[ Is as proper as one can be in this sort of situation -- he keeps his hands to himself, and leans in to brush his lips over Suzaku's. The objective sends a shiver down his spine, more pronounced than a kiss usually would. Before pulling back, he takes a bit of liberty to kiss him again, more than just a brush this time. ]
[ It's nice -- the little electric tingle makes it more so -- but he has his mouth open to tell Lavi as much (reassure him, maybe, after that awkward start) when the other boy leans back in, a soft muffled sound that's lost in his mouth. Oh.
Without the prompting, it's just smooth and warm and, a little wet, thanks to him. Suzaku hesitates maybe half a second, then -- presses back, a bit of playful suction on Lavi's bottom lip. Now that Lavi's not compelled to kiss him, he's... more responsive, instead of merely receptive. ]
[ The pressure to follow the mistletoe's very strong suggestion dissipates immediately, replaced by a different sort of pressure, and Lavi is pleasantly surprised. Resting his good hand on the back of Suzaku's head, he does deepen it, taking the responsiveness as an invitation. ]
[ Yes, definitely -- nice. Bringing out the latent competitiveness in him, really. Suzaku meets the dart of tongue; circles it with his own, and lets one of his own hands take hold of the front of Lavi's jacket, tugging him a little closer. ]

What're you apologizing for? [ Isn't that his line? ]

You're not bad looking, you don't seem like you're going to shank me when I'm not looking, and it's just a kiss. [ These are his priorities?? ]
If you want me t'be honest, there's maybe two people I'd rather get stuck with. But that doesn't mean you're the bottom of the barrel. Capisci?

[ Lets out a soft groan, keeping up easily for another few moments. He grins as he comes up for air, feeling pleasantly winded. ]
Not so bad, right?
